    AIM, SCOPE AND AUDIENCE

    • The Ghana Pharmaceutical Journal is the official journal of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana. It is published by the Ghana Pharmaceutical Press.  The Ghana Pharmaceutical Journal is recognized as an editorially independent publication under the terms of the PSGH’s constitution. The Editor assumes responsibility for all editorial content. The Ghana Pharmaceutical Journal was founded in 1935 and has been issued annually, with a forecast to become monthly publication by year 2020.  The journal covers news, analysis, features, opinions, learning and careers articles, providing insight and knowledge about drugs, pharmacy practice, medicines use and healthcare policy in the context of the pharmacy profession and pharmaceutical sciences.
    • The Apothecary News is a monthly, peer-reviewed newsletter that provides authoritative resources on the clinical management of disease in relation to medicines and up-to-date information about advances in pharmacy and drug development. The Apothecary News publishes Review articles, Perspectives, evidence-based CPD articles and Practice Reports on topics from drug discovery to clinical pharmacology and pharmacy.  It also provides insight into the realities of a career in the pharmaceutical sciences. It is an equally valuable resource for pharmacy students, preregistration trainees, and young pharmacists.

The international audience of Ghana Pharmaceutical Journal and The Apothecary News consists of pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and healthcare professionals. The journal is available to over 3,000 members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, as well as non-member individual subscribers and subscribing institutions.
